Let’s face it, so many of us have experienced birth trauma in one way or another. Perhaps through a loss, perhaps through unfulfilled expectations, or perhaps through circumstances beyond your control.
“It seems that many health professionals involved in antenatal care have not realized that one of their roles should be to protect the emotional state of pregnant women.” ~Michael Odent, M.D.
Women going into future births, who have experienced birth trauma in whatever capacity, have to work through past trauma and it is a powerful hindrance in labor when not identified and surrendered to.
What is fear surrounding birth?
How can we overcome and be empowered after a bad birth outcome or trauma?
What can we do to regain and restore our faith in the process of birthing the way God intended?
How do we move the trauma through and out of our bodies by first recognizing it and naming it?
I won’t lie – this gathering won’t be easy, perhaps – but it will be healing. Healing comes from acknowledging the “trauma” stored in our body, grounding ourselves in truth, and then be supported to move forward in freedom from the bondage of that trauma and trial.
Join me for a discussion and a time of healing. It matters. We will carry our trauma into the next generation of birthing women, or we will come to understand healing and pass the healing on to our daughters and circle of influence. Cost is only $10 each person to cover cost of materials. Space is limited.
“The effort to separate the physical experience of childbirth from the mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of this event has served to disempower and violate women.” ~Mary Rucklos Hampton
